As you can tell from my recent posts regarding marketing with Twitter, (such as Twitter List Building and Marketing on Twitter) you can tell that I’m a big fan of Twitter and how it can help your business.
Being a student of marketing, I check out nearly every sales letter that’s sent my way. I (personally) get a little bored after reading tens of pages of long copy sales letters, so I really like those that are short and sweet and just home right in on the finer points without tons of hype.
When I saw @SteveWeber‘s promo tweet on Twitter for his TwitterBlast product, I felt compelled to check it out. The sales page was simple, precise, and contained all the right elements for “good copywriting”. I was planning on simply using is as a reference piece for my readers to see an example of doing things correctly.   Take a look at the sales letter page and go through the checklist here with me.

I'm on Twitter, now what?

So, now you're on Twitter... whaddya do now?  How do you get people to start hanging on your every word?

It might take a while to get people to actually pay attention to you, but it won't take long to get a following.  Remember, not all traffic is the same, and you don't just want 10,000 people blindly following you who have no interest in your message.  Since I have a variety of interests, I have a varitety of followers.  Following me are: software developers, software testers, project managers, development managers, copywriters, internet marketers, marketing and branding experts, and so on.

As a result, not every "tweet" (Twitter Message) is going to match my entire audience, except the personal ones like "Returning movies to Blockbuster" -- everyone can relate to that and see that I'm a real person.

Blogging Tip - WordPress Title Optimization

I've been setting up a lot of WordPress blogging sites over the past week or so.  Some are for me, some are for clients, etc.  But, in my goals to optimize them (boy is WordPress ever configurable!), I've noted that I need to change quite a few things to maximize the placement of these pages in the Search Engines.
