As you can tell from my recent posts regarding marketing with Twitter, (such as Twitter List Building and Marketing on Twitter) you can tell that I’m a big fan of Twitter and how it can help your business.
Being a student of marketing, I check out nearly every sales letter that’s sent my way. I (personally) get a little bored after reading tens of pages of long copy sales letters, so I really like those that are short and sweet and just home right in on the finer points without tons of hype.
When I saw @SteveWeber‘s promo tweet on Twitter for his TwitterBlast product, I felt compelled to check it out. The sales page was simple, precise, and contained all the right elements for “good copywriting”. I was planning on simply using is as a reference piece for my readers to see an example of doing things correctly. Take a look at the sales letter page and go through the checklist here with me.
-
Great headline!
-
Catchy subheads (I wonder if he’s split-tested the head/subhead colors)
-
Picture of the creator (look at that guy, he looks SO honest!)
-
List of benefits rather than “features”
-
Engaging copy
-
Testimonials (with pictures even! – might want to center the photos, though)
-
A money back guarantee
-
A summary P.S. at the bottom – WHAT??! No P.S.?! Alright, so he missed ONE thing.
But then, I saw the price and I figured this had to be an entry point into his sales funnel. So, I bought the product, just so I could get more marketing materials from Steve Weber. I mean, it’s only $4.95 – I’ve wasted more @Starbucks, right?
Well, I was overwhelmingly surprised. I learned far more than I thought I would. His course saved me more than $4.95 just in the time savings to learn how to use the tools he introduces in his course. It’s simple, don’t get me wrong, just 45 minutes of raw step-by-step education – what do you expect for $4.95? But everything he shares is great stuff and he does it completely – even a computer novice can do it, just by doing what he shows.
And this, my friends, is the final lesson from Steve’s product page – overdeliver. Do such a wonderful job in delivering your product that those prospects you convert into customers become manic devotees – singing your praises to all within earshot.
If you haven’t yet, check out TwitterBlast, fork over the measly $4.95 and start making progress toward your 2009 marketing goals right now. I make no money off of this. Steve didn’t ask me to review his product. I actually think it’s worth it.
P.S. If you think I might just dole out easy praise, check out my TrafficRightNow review and my Content Spooling Network review – I’m generally cynical about internet marketing products and fairly harsh, as a rule. Then get TwitterBlast.

If anyone's in any doubt about getting this product, I recommend you go ahead - the bonus information alone is worth more than I've paid for the whole package!
It's not clear what some of the testimonials are referring to, and one of them is for an adsense product.
Either way, I agree that the copy makes it pretty easy to buy, the price is an instant opposition killer...5 bucks lol...yeah..I'm really going to fight that one!
Everything else seems to be in place, and I agree...I prefer to read the short, to the point letters.
Because of your post, I bought Steve's Twitter Blast and it was the best, most concise information on Twitter I have found yet. Thanks very much for your post.
